QuoteTradie Terms of Service
Effective date: 3 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Shivam Pavan Sharma, an individual sole developer based in India, trading as “QuoteTradie” (“we”, “us”, “our”). They cover the QuoteTradie Android app, our website (https://quotetradie.app) and the quote and invoice pages your customers open (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy (https://quotetradie.app/privacy/). If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. Who can use QuoteTradie
- QuoteTradie is for tradespeople and small trade businesses in Australia and New Zealand, plus invited testers during our pre-launch testing.
- You must be 18 or over and use the Service for your business, not for personal, family or household purposes.
- If you use QuoteTradie on behalf of a business, you confirm you’re allowed to accept these terms for it.
2. Your account
- You sign in with your Google account. Keep it secure: anything done through your account is your responsibility.
- Give us accurate business details (for example your business name, ABN or GST number) and keep them up to date. They appear on the documents you send.
- One person, one account. Don’t share your account or create extra accounts to get more free trials.
3. Free trial
- New accounts get a free trial of 14 days, including 15 AI-drafted quotes. No card is needed.
- During the trial you can use all other features (writing quotes yourself, sending, e-signatures, invoices, reminders and payments) without limits.
- One free trial per person. We use a keyed hash of your Google account ID, an app-generated device ID and Google Play Integrity checks to enforce this (see our Privacy Policy). If we reasonably believe someone is getting repeat trials, we may end the extra trial.
- A failed AI quote does not count against your 15.
- Invited testers during our pre-launch testing may get a different trial (for example, 30 days with a daily limit of AI quotes). We’ll tell testers their trial details.
4. Plans and payment
| Plan | Price (USD) | What’s included |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | US$10 per month or US$90 per year | Everything except AI: write quotes yourself (type or dictate), pick lines from your price list, send, e-signatures, invoices, reminders, payments and data export |
| Pro | US$20 per month or US$180 per year | Everything in Basic, plus AI-drafted quotes from typing, voice or photos |
- Billing is handled by Google Play. Google Play shows and charges the price in your local currency, including any taxes it applies. We never see your card details. Google Play’s terms also apply to your purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel. Cancel anytime in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). Your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Upgrading from Basic to Pro takes effect straight away; Google Play charges the prorated difference. Downgrading from Pro to Basic takes effect at your next renewal.
- Basic bought during your trial: you keep your remaining trial AI quotes until the trial ends; after that, Basic includes no AI.
- Refunds are handled under Google Play’s refund policies, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or New Zealand law (see section 14).
- Price changes: we’ll tell you before a price change applies to your subscription, as Google Play requires, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
- Deleting your QuoteTradie account does not cancel your Google Play subscription. Cancel it in Google Play first.
5. When your trial or plan ends
If your trial ends, or your paid plan ends, without an active plan:
- You can still open, download and share your existing quotes and invoices, mark invoices paid, keep existing reminders, export your data and delete your account. You can also edit existing drafts.
- Creating or sending new quotes or invoices requires Basic or Pro.
- We don’t delete your data because a trial or plan ends. It stays until you delete your account.
6. AI-drafted quotes: you’re in charge
- On the trial and Pro, QuoteTradie uses AI (Google Gemini on the trial, Anthropic Claude on Pro) to draft quotes from your description, photos, price list and business details.
- Prices come from your own price list. The AI suggests items, quantities, hours and wording. Items not on your price list are marked “needs a price” for you to fill in.
- AI can make mistakes. It can misread a job, miss items or choose the wrong quantity or hours. You must review and correct every quote before you send it. You are responsible for the quotes and invoices you send, including the prices, scope, GST, and compliance with licensing, building, electrical, plumbing and consumer laws that apply to your work.
- QuoteTradie is a quoting and invoicing tool. It does not give legal, tax, accounting, engineering or safety advice.
- We may pause AI features temporarily (for example during a provider outage). You can still write quotes yourself.
7. Your content and your customers
- You own your content: your business details, price list, customers, quotes, invoices, payments and anything else you add.
- You give us permission to store, process, display and transmit your content only as needed to run the Service for you (for example to sync it, make PDFs, show quote and invoice pages to your customers, and send it to our AI providers on the trial and Pro). We don’t sell it or use it for advertising.
- Your customers’ details: you decide what customer information to enter. You’re responsible for having a lawful reason to collect it and use it, and for telling your customers how you use it, as required by privacy law (for example the Australian Privacy Principles or New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020, where they apply to you).
- Customer links: quote (/q/) and invoice (/i/) links contain a private random token. Anyone with the link can view that document, so send links only to the right person.
8. Online acceptance and signatures
Your customers can accept a quote online by typing their name and, if they choose, drawing a signature. We record the name typed, the signature, the option chosen and the time. We provide this as a convenience; whether an online acceptance forms a binding contract between you and your customer depends on the law and your circumstances, and that agreement is between you and your customer, not us.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, misleading or fraudulent, including fake quotes or invoices, or invoices for work not done;
- send spam or harass anyone through the Service;
- upload content that infringes someone else’s rights or that is offensive or harmful;
- try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get around the security, plan limits or trial rules of the Service, or access other people’s data;
- use automated tools to scrape the Service or misuse the AI features (for example, to generate content unrelated to quoting your work).
10. Availability, backups and changes to the Service
- We work hard to keep QuoteTradie available and your data safe, and the app keeps a copy on your phone so you can keep working offline. But we can’t promise the Service will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted.
- Keep your own records. Tax law may require you to keep invoices for years. Use Export my data regularly and before deleting your account.
- We may improve or change features. If we remove a major feature you pay for, we’ll tell you in advance, and you can cancel.
- We may need you to update the app to keep using it, for example to fix a security issue.
11. Suspension and ending your account
- You can stop using QuoteTradie and delete your account at any time (in the app under Profile → Delete account, or at https://quotetradie.app/delete-account/).
- We may suspend or close an account if it seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, is used for fraud or to abuse trials, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem and export your data. If we close your account without good reason under these terms, we’ll refund any unused prepaid period where we’re able to through Google Play.
12. Our intellectual property
The QuoteTradie app, website, name, logo and design belong to us. You can use them only to use the Service. These terms don’t give you any other rights in them.
13. Third-party services
The Service relies on providers such as Google (Sign-In, Play Billing, Play Integrity, Gemini), Anthropic, Supabase, RevenueCat, Cloudflare and Sentry, and on apps you choose to send through (such as WhatsApp, your email or SMS app). Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we aren’t responsible for their services.
14. Your rights under consumer law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have that can’t be excluded by law, including:
- Australia: the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), which can apply to business customers in some cases;
- New Zealand: the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, where they apply. Because QuoteTradie is supplied for business purposes, to the extent the law allows, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply and you agree it is fair and reasonable that we’re bound only by these terms.
Where the law lets us limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited (at our choice) to supplying the services again, or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
15. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, and subject to section 14:
- The Service is provided “as is”. We don’t promise it will suit every business, or that AI-drafted content will be accurate or complete.
- We’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost jobs, lost revenue, or losses from a quote or invoice you sent without checking it.
- Our total liability to you for all claims about the Service is limited to the greater of US$100, or the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
These limits don’t apply to liability that can’t be limited by law, including for our fraud or our wilful misconduct.
16. Your responsibility to us
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you sent through the Service (such as a quote or invoice) or because you seriously broke these terms or the law, you’ll cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the claim was caused by you.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For significant changes we’ll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect (unless the change is required by law sooner). If you don’t agree, you can cancel your plan and stop using the Service before the change applies. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
18. Governing law and disputes
- If you have a problem, please email us first at [email protected]. We’ll try to resolve it within 30 days.
- These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Maharashtra, India have jurisdiction.
- This doesn’t take away any right you have under Australian or New Zealand law (including section 14) or your right to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, where that law gives you that right.
19. General
- If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
- You can’t transfer your account or these terms to someone else without our agreement. We may transfer them to someone who takes over the Service, and we’ll tell you if we do.
- These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
